Taiwan’s digital minister in
charge of Social Innovation

Audrey is known for revitalizing the computer languages Perl and Haskell, as well as building the online spreadsheet system EtherCalc in collaboration with the business engineer Dan Bricklin. In the public sector, Audrey served on Taiwan national development council’s open data committee. She led the country’s first e-Rulemaking project. In the private sector, Audrey worked as a consultant with Apple on computational linguistics. In the social sector, Audrey actively contributes to g0v (“gov zero”), a vibrant community focusing on creating tools for the civil society, with the call to “fork the government.”

Yanni is a Managing Partner with Softbank Investment Advisers in London. Prior to joining SBIA, he was Global Head of Fixed Income & Currencies at Deutsche Bank AG. He was responsible for all trading, lending and structuring activities across public and private credit, rates, currencies and emerging markets. He had been at Deutsche Bank since 2000 and held various previous roles in London and New York, including co-Head of Global Credit Trading, Head of the Institutional Client Group and Global Head of Credit Structuring. He also served on the board of the Association for Financial Markets in Europe. He holds an MSc in Finance and an MSc in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London and a BEng in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University College London.

Multitalented Swiss
Federal Chancellor

Walter Thurnherr is a Swiss diplomat and senior civil servant. In 2016 the member of the Christian Democratic People’s Party took office as Federal Chancellor of the Swiss Confederation. Before Thurnherr  joined the ranks of Switzerland’s diplomatic corps in 1989 he graduated as a physicist at the ETH Zürich. Media and politicians say he is sharp as a tack, willing to compromise and funny. Known as a visionary and a doer, he has worked several years in Moscow and New York. Nonetheless he feels home at the lake of Thun surrounded by its majestic mountains. Walter Thurnherr enjoys to fill the role as a mediator, to politicize like no other across parties and to relax from time to time with a book about physics.
